About
Sarah Alfonso is a multidisciplinary artist working specifically in painting and drawing. Born and raised in Miami, Sarah utilizes psychological themes such as personas, and individual trauma to inform her works with the goal of understanding human nature. While her subject matter may be dark at times, her paintings utilize vibrant pallets and caricature to address the themes, imbuing them with tongue-in-cheek humor. Sarah’s work has been shown in group exhibitions including On the Fringes, at Miami Beach Urban Studios, Adivine, at The Loft Gallery in Savannah Georgia, and In Place at Sulfer Studios, also in Savannah. Sarah is currently attending Savannah College of Art and Design to earn a master’s in fine art, with a bachelor’s in fine art from Florida International University.
